Andrew Buxton, Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director, will retire from the Board on 13 September 2007, coinciding with our Annual General Meeting.
Andrew joined the Board of Xansa plc (formerly F.I.GROUP PLC) in November 1999 having pursued a distinguished career in banking. Andrew has contributed enormously to the success of Xansa over the intervening years which have seen a period of growth and development in the business. Throughout, he has provided insight and wisdom to Board colleagues and members of the Senior Leadership team.
Commenting, Bill Alexander, Chairman and Acting Chief Executive of Xansa, said:
On behalf of the Board and on behalf of his many friends and colleagues within the business, I would like to express our appreciation for Andrew Buxton's significant contribution over a number of years and wish him a long and happy retirement.
"I am very pleased to announce that David Thomas, our Remuneration Committee Chairman, has agreed to assume the Senior Independent Director role on Andrew's retirement at the Annual General Meeting on 13 September 2007. With effect from 1 July 2007, Chris Bunker will also assume the Chairmanship of the Audit Committee."
