Xansa, the outsourcing and technology company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Badri Agarwal to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
Since 2000, Badri Agarwal, aged 58, has been President of the Infotel Division of Bharti Airtel Limited, part of Bharti Enterprises, a leading provider of telecommunications services in India, which he joined in 1999. Badri gave up his full time executive role in April 2006, but continues to be associated with Bharti Enterprises, a US$ 2.6 Billion revenue organisation.
Prior to joining Bharti Airtel, he held various senior management roles in Eicher Group, a leading Indian automobile and engineering company, culminating in his appointment as Managing Director of the Group holding company in 1994.
Commenting on his appointment, Bill Alexander, Chairman said:
We are delighted Badri is joining our Board and look forward to the perspective on our business that he will be able to bring. He has an outstanding proven track record in manufacturing and in the rapidly growing telecoms sector in India, including considerable experience in outsourcing.
There are no details to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
Badri Agarwal does not hold any beneficial or non-beneficial interests in the ordinary shares of Xansa.
